3D Animation Midterm

This video is pretty self-explanatory when watching the introduction (or at least I hope it is!) However, The video was assigned for a two week Midterm project by Mike McCarthy for the first level of 3D Animation.

The Animation is a Ghoulish Zombie in a doctor's waiting room, waiting for his turn to go in and see the doctor. The setting is supposed to be a pretty dark waiting room, almost a "Hell-ish" waiting room. Once I have more time to play with the lights, texture the walls better as well as the floor, I feel as though it should pick up the animation greatly.

First Unwrap and Texture Job... Ever

So I've never Unwrapped a model before, and I have only had maybe ... 15 minutes in a class to be shown how to do one, so I spent my entire Sunday teaching myself how to unwrap, and well... This is what I came up with, I have some things to learn, like: Using the whole 512x512 to completely get all the detail I want into a model, and.... I don't know, whatever else people tell me I should do for unwrapping. Any comments would be awesome!

3D Walk Cycles

The above is my very first attempt at a 3D Walk cycle, I promise you I have gotten better.

This is my second attempt at a walk cycle, clear improvements, feet gripping the ground a little bit more, and some good flow.

This video is my most recent walk cycle, and it is a run cycle, it's also from 2 weeks ago. I have been modeling, texturing and animating for my midterm which should be posted upon completion.

Some 3D Homework

This video above is a quick, unrendered, version of a room being destroyed by a bouncing ball.

The video above is a rendered video of a snake in the forest, who finds the last lone apple hanging on a tree branch.

I'd just like to point out that these are my first animations in 3D, if i had more time to texture, render, and model things more than just one week, as well as handling 4 other classes, these would be remarkably better, but for the time being, I am proud of these.

Ghoul Breathing

My very first attempt to make a character breathe ... I didn't know how to actually do it, but I messed around a bit and this is what I came up with.

Some 3D Animation Rough Drafts

These are screen shots of my "waiting room" where my ghoul/zombie character will be waiting for the 3D Animation Midterm of a "performance." There are no Textures fully added, just a few textures added by messing around. I have a lot more to go before I am fully satisfied.

This character is roughly 1100 polygons, supposed to be a zombie/ghoul kind of character, no textures finalized yet. Here is the Character sheet I had drawn up for the Model I had created in 3D. I had a lot to do, and still have a lot more to go.
